De Beyaert Town House

This noteworthy building close to the Cathedral dates from the twelfth century and was originally an overnight shelter for pilgrims. It was purchased by the City in the fourteenth century and enlarged in 1474 to serve as Mechelen town hall. Today it is the post office.
