
Corona measures for groups

The government has imposed tighter rules to help curb the further spread of the coronavirus. All indoor activities have been cancelled and cultural venues closed. Organized leisure activities such as guiding are not permitted either.

A safe visit for everyone. But read this first.
We are delighted to be able to welcome you back. We are implementing the government guidelines relating to COVID-19 and we are counting on you to keep to those guidelines with us.
What do we expect from you?
- It is obligatory to wear a face mask in the public space and where a distance of 1.5m cannot be guaranteed.
- Always keep 1.5m between you and other participants who are not part of your family or fixed social bubble.
- Wash and disinfect your hands regularly.
- There is a restriction on the number of participants per guide, so consult the list below to find out how many people are allowed on each walk.
- Feeling unwell? Stay at home.
Groups of max. 20 in the open air
- Burgundian City Walk (without visit to Schepenhuis)
- Human Rights Walk (without visit to Kazerne Dossin memorial)
- Historical Women’s Walk
- The Beguines in Mechelen
- Carolus Walk
- Historical City Walk (without visit to Town Hall)
Groups of max. 10 on tours that also include indoor spaces
- Burgundian City Walk with visit to Schepenhuis
- In the footsteps of Hiëronymus and Margareta (includes visit to Hof van Busleyden Museum)
- Guided tour of Hof van Busleyden Museum (10 including guide)
- Guided tour of St Rumbold’s Tower (outside opening times only)
- Mechelen Church City
- Human Rights Walk with visit to Kazerne Dossin memorial
- Historical City Walk with visit to Town Hall
Only exception: primary school groups of max. 25 (aged under 12)
- All the guided tours (without visit to indoor location(s))
- Guided tour of St Rumbold’s Tower (outside opening times only)
- Hof van Busleyden Museum educational activities
