Our tower, your spire  - become a Tower Builder!

Did you know that St Rumbold’s Tower was never actually completed? The people of Mechelen once dreamt of building the world’s highest cathedral. The tower was to have reached a height of 163 metres, including a majestic spire. But for various reasons, building work came to a standstill at just 97 metres and the spire never materialized. This year the city is joining forces with the people of Mechelen and visitors to build the long-awaited spire. Even if it’s only temporary. Will you visit #ourtower this year? Share your experience and be part of this unique moment.
